Scrap metal recycler River City Metal Recycling has opened a new
40,000-square-foot facility in Memphis, its ninth location overall.

River City Metal Recycling pays cash for most household, commercial and
industrial metals, such as aluminum, brass, cast iron, copper, insulated wire,
lead, steel, stainless steel, tool steel, transformers and electric motors.

“We want to become more than just a place to drop off recyclables,” John Pesti,
general manager of River City Metal Recycling, said in a statement. “By
partnering with area businesses and individuals, we will help reduce waste,
improve manufacturing efficiencies and make our community a better place to
live.”

River City Metal Recycling also has recycling operations in Chicago, Houston,
Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Ind., Elkhart, Ind., Columbus, Ga., and
Nogales, Mexico.
