The board of metals processor and producer Nyrstar NV has confirmed the
departure of Nyrstar's Chief Executive Officer, Paul Fowler. Paul has decided to
leave the company for personal reasons.

Current Nyrstar non-executive Director, Roland Junck, will succeed Paul in the
role effective immediately.

The company Chairman, Julien De Wilde said, 'Paul was instrumental in the
formation of Nyrstar and he has led the company through its inception. Paul has
also led his team in taking the difficult actions necessary to cope with the
current economic downturn.'

'We thank Paul for his significant contribution throughout his time with Nyrstar
