Lead Concentrate
The product which is obtained from a mineral separation process is
known as Concentrate. The metals are concentrated from Ore, and the
remainder is discarded as neutralized railing. The contained metals
are recovered from the concentrates either by smelting process.
First of all most of the Sulphur is removed from the Concentrate in
Smelting process. This is done by Roasting in a Dwight Lloyd
Sintering Machine in which a layer of a mixture of concentrate, flux
and some returned sinter fines is moistened and spread on the
continuous grate of the sinter machine and ignited. Lead
Concentrate is mostly used for manufacturing of Lead Metal and
Lead Alloys.
The Lead Concentrates produced from wind Ore were processed
into primary metal at two smelter-refineries Missouri and a smelter
in Montana
Applications: -
• Lead Concentrate is mostly used for manufacturing of Lead
Metal and Lead Alloys.
• Lead Concentrate is used in Smelting Lead.
